April is a big month for Money Vehicle! Not only is it Financial Literacy Month, but the NFL Draft also occurs in April — which is a big deal for our founder and CEO. It’s an even bigger deal this month, because Money Vehicle is teaming up with another organization helmed by a former NFL Player: The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation!
Malcolm Jenkins and Jedidiah Collins are partnering up to bring financial empowerment to hundreds of students in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with an aim of tackling the racial wealth gap in high schools.
As you know, here at Money Vehicle, we’ve made it our goal to close the gap in financial literacy to empower students to begin financial plans. The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation’s mission is to effectuate positive change in the lives of young people — and those in underserved communities, in particular. As such, the partnership brings financial literacy materials and knowledge to high school students, empowering students to take control of their financial futures.
Simply put: We couldn’t be more excited about the partnership, and are looking forward to working with Malcolm and his team, and seeing how financial literacy can change the lives of students in cities like Newark, New Jersey, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
A little more about The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation: The MJ Foundation provides resources, innovative opportunities, and experiences that help youth succeed in life and become contributing members of their communities. Guided by core values of integrity, service, community, and fiscal accountability, The Malcolm Jenkins Foundation aims to be a world-class organization that has a positive and lasting impact on the lives of youth in New Jersey, Louisiana, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.
